Bronze sculpture details
All sculpture is, by nature, first of all static – transforming these statics into movement and ease, while avoiding the gestural and also showing off the material in its uniqueness, is my theme. The subject of these very autonomous, invented shapes may be reminiscent of the organic or the figurative, but only very vaguely, like a hint of something – not as a portrayal of anything. That is why they are untitled.
Edition in bronze, cast using the lost wax technique, chased and patinated by hand.
