Bronze sculpture details
Support and posture. The human being: a trilogy of body, soul and spirit. The body: rooted, growing and built. Recognizing itself in the other. Seeking, questioning, doubting. Finding strength in peace. The outer form reflects the inner essence.
Edition in bronze, cast using the lost wax technique, chased and patinated by hand.
Like many fellow sculptors, the handicraft marked the beginning of Christiane Raschke’s artistic career. She completed an apprenticeship in ceramics and was already drawing attention in professional circles – she finished by winning first place nationally.
