Exalted yet with both feet firmly on the ground. The arms crossed – for it is not she who must work with her hands. There are others to attend to this. Her task is to keep track of all that she has set in motion.
Edition in bronze, cast using the lost wax technique, chased and patinated by hand.
Like many fellow sculptors, the handicraft marked the beginning of Christiane Raschke’s artistic career. She completed an apprenticeship in ceramics and was already drawing attention in professional circles – she finished by winning first place nationally.
