Erwin A. Schinzel (1919 - 2018)
For more than three quarters of a century the sculptor Erwin A. Schinzel devoted himself to art. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin. Since 1945 he worked as a freelance artist, first in Augsburg, since 1991 in Waldbronn. In addition, he worked as a professor at the International Academy in Bologna and at the International Academy of Fine Arts in Altenberg.
Throughout his long life, Schinzel has created hundreds of sculptures and demonstrated his skills in almost every genre. His work includes interior sculptures, fountain sculptures and outdoor sculptures, and he has always distinguished himself as an "animalier". Schinzel's award-winning work is represented in numerous public and private art collections and has been shown worldwide in solo and group exhibitions.
