Natalia Obada was born in Kishinev, Moldavia, and studied architecture at the Technical University there. Even today, she still lives in her native city, where she has long been devoting herself to her ceramic art.

Her works are basically in the old tradition of doll making, which is quite beloved in Russia and neighbouring countries, thus not denying their close connection to this popular art form.
