Bronze sculpture details
For beginners, it is an utterly complicated matter to swing the golf club: Holding the club correctly, finding the correct position, and coordinating the backswing and downswing perfectly. An experienced golf player knows that everything needs to be considered within one flowing motion - which is captured here by Mücke.
Edition in bronze, cast using the lost wax technique, chased and patinated by hand.
Torsten Mücke is a trained goldsmith and chaser. His art could be described as "art of omission". Mücke is a sculptor who reduces his designs step by step to just the essentials, through this he is able to penetrate to the artistic core. It is his precise eye for the essentials that allows him to remain representational.
