Bronze sculpture details
A portrait of the artist as a fragile man: Jamie Salmon plays with the perfect illusion and, at the same time, skilfully dissolves it.
Edition in bronze, cast using the lost wax technique, chased and patinated by hand.
Born in Great Britain but living and working in Vancouver, Canada, Jamie Salmon learned his artistic craft in the movie industry. For some time now, his portraits, made of silicone, acrylic, pigmented inks and real hair in the course of weeks and even months of work, have been creating a furore.
