Jamie Salmon (1971)
Born in Great Britain but living and working in Vancouver, Canada, Jamie Salmon learned his artistic craft in the movie industry. For some time now, his portraits, made of silicone, acrylic, pigmented inks and real hair in the course of weeks and even months of work, have been creating a furore. The hyperrealistic sculptures are so exact, right down to the individual pores in the skin and hairs in a beard, that they seem veritably alive.
