Bronze sculpture details
Anyone who is still little wants to be big at last. What luck that there are stilts for this purpose, letting us get an idea, at least, of how the world looks from up there. What an exalted feeling! It's such a shame, though, that it doesn't last – anyone who wants to make the little man lose his balance will have an easy job of it.
Edition in bronze, cast using the lost wax technique, chased and patinated by hand.
Willi Tannheimer
Willi Tannheimer was born in the Allgäu, the son of a wood sculptor, from whom he also enjoyed his first training. From 1966 to 1968, he attended the School of Applied Arts (Kunstgewerbeschule) in Munich and finally handed in his master's examination as a sculptor.
