Bronze sculpture details
This work is a recent result of examining dance. The energy of movement is held fast, in the reduced entity of the torso. Contemplating it challenges the mind to continue experiencing the movement, the vigour, through one’s own associations.
Edition in bronze, cast using the lost wax technique, chased and patinated by hand.
Ralf Ehmann studied sculpture and painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart from 1989 to 1996. Since then, he has also been involved in all these aspects: as a painter and printmaker, he knows how to express himself as well as a sculptor or modeller.
