Kurt Tassotti was born in Feldkirchen (Austria) and attended the free art school under Gerd Neisser from 1980 to 1981. He then studied sculpture under the tutelage of Karl-Henning Seemann at the State Academy of Fine Arts (Staatlichen Akademie der Bildenden Künste) in Stuttgart.
