The bright figure observes the blazing heat from a respectful distance. A meeting of hot and cold, half modelled and half painted. In colours which create an expressive patina on bronze. No material can tell more about the primeval power of fire than the noble alloy of copper and tin.
Edition in bronze, cast using the lost wax technique, chased and patinated by hand.
Filip Moroder Doss is a Ladin, that is, a member of the small Romanic language group living in northern Italy and speaking their own language, also called Ladin. He is the son of the famous sculptor Heinrich Moroder Doss, from whom he learned his craft and with whom he works as an artist in a large studio together with his brother Paul, also a practicing artist.
