The nutshell can be a universe, as Shakespeare's Hamlet already knew ("Put all life in a nutshell ..."). It really is something special. It is the epitome of a small, manageable space and yet the beginning of something really big: a future tree lives in the shell. Our hazelnuts are oversized from the start. And one you can even remove the kernel to use the shell itself as a vessel.
