"The heart flies when the mind takes a break – that is being in love."

There are many different metaphors that describe or illustrate the state of being in love, such as butterflies in the stomach or the cloud on which lovers float. This sculpture joins them and also draws on the image of floating.
Here, the protagonists overcome the gravity of everyday life together
through the power of love, which literally allows them to ‘take off’ in the form of a heart-shaped balloon.

Edition in bronze, cast using the lost wax technique, chased and patinated by hand. Limited to 199 numbered and signed copies.
