Owls are said to be wise and understanding of the world. No wonder, since they often sit without moving yet with watchful eyes, closely observing the hectic activity all around them. This also applies to these two bronze specimens on and in their tree stump. This sculpture could well find its rightful place in the garden, where we can also withdraw to more deeply consider the ways of the world (even if this consists mainly in perusing the newspaper).
