Wolfgang Knorr (1945)


Wolfgang Knorr studied anatomical drawing at the Dresden Academy of the Arts (with Professor Bammes) from 1964 to 1966, followed by a course of studies in metal design and metal and wood sculpture at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle (Saale). From 1971 on, he worked as a freelance sculptor in Dresden, Berlin and Potsdam and took a teaching position at the Professional School of Advertising and Design in Potsdam. In 1985 he moved to Baden-Württemberg, where he was given a teaching assignment for artistic techniques at the Free Art School in Nürtingen.
