Michael Brettschneider (1956)
Michael Brettschneider studied at the Free Merz Academy in Stuttgart and has been employed there since graduating. He has worked there in many creative fields like the advertising department, but at the same time he has been working as a freelance artist.
His larger than life models of turtles and snails can be seen as well applied art. Although they are modelled in the most accurate and detailed way to match the naturalistic image, their large-sized dimensions make them seem as both works of art and toys at the same time.
