Bronze sculpture details
The identical colours and surface structure used for the tree and the human figure show that the love of nature is nothing other than the deep-felt knowledge that both are part of nature.
Edition in bronze, cast using the lost wax technique, chased and patinated by hand.
The ceramist Anne-Sophie Gilloen lives and works in northern France (Bailleul) near the Belgian border. Her first contact with ceramic work was at the tender age of 6 or 7 years - since that point she could not imagine a life without clay covered hands.
