“Alas, I have studied ... the law as well...” (and most certainly with “ardent zeal”). Schöne’s lawyer, attired in a garment reminiscent of Goethe’s Faust, is sitting on a stack of books and trying to entice justice from the law book in his hands – still the fate of lawyers today.
Edition in bronze, cast using the lost wax technique, chased and patinated by hand.
Thomas Schöne is a jack of all creative trades: at his studio in the Allgäu region, he works as a furniture and jewellery designer, designs and sews dolls, even furnishing entire marionette theatres with his own designs and, in addition, offering his skills as an interior decorator and a painter of trompe l’oeil pictures.
