Toboggan
Bronze sculpture details
A slide tower at the fairground: a toboggan. But, in this context, something that is actually enjoyable is reminiscent of the torments of a Sisyphus. The artist comments on this: “This sculpture can be viewed as an interpretation of essential, human questions. The opposition of familiar shapes and bodies, the mythical allusions heighten the tension, but so does the designed situation, which leaves multiple possibilities open.“
Edition in bronze, cast using the lost wax technique, chased and patinated by hand.
