She doesn’t miss a thing. Perfectly placed, perfectly posed, and so she can let her gaze wander in interest over all the colourful goings-on about her. The observer, by contrast, can observe her as she observes – and thus there is a great deal to see.

With an apprenticeship as a surveyor, a degree in applied sciences at the University in Karlsruhe, years of work as a surveyor in Germany and France - do not suggest the life of a successful sculptor. But there was a fascination in philosophy, literature and the visual arts early on in his life.
